We collect limited personal information to run Playora. We handle personal information under Canadian privacy laws (PIPEDA and applicable provincial laws).
We do not sell personal information and we do not provide cloud storage or cloud saves at this time.
2. Information We Collect and How We Collect It
- Account Data: If you choose to log in, third-party authentication (Firebase Authentication by Google) collects your email address, display name, and unique authentication IDs.
- Analytics & Traffic Data: We use Google Analytics and Google Search Console to monitor traffic and site performance. These tools use cookies and collect technical data such as your masked IP address, browser type, device type, and basic usage data.
- Local Device Data: Game saves, custom profile pictures, and configuration settings are handled entirely via your browser's local storage (localStorage). This data stays on your device; we never upload, transmit, or store your profile pictures or game saves on our servers.

- Authenticate accounts and prevent abuse.

4. Sharing and Third-Party Services
We do not sell personal information. We only utilize trusted third-party services necessary to keep this hobby project running:
- Google Firebase & Cloud Console: For secure user authentication and infrastructure management.
- Google Analytics: For aggregate website traffic insights.
5. Storage, Retention, and Deletion
- Local device data (saves and profile pictures) remains on your machine until you clear your browser cookies and storage.
- Account data (emails used for authentication) is stored securely within Firebase. You can request the permanent manual deletion of your account data at any time by emailing us or messaging through the Playora contact page.
6. Your Rights (Canada/PIPEDA/PIPA)
You have the right to access, correct, or request the erasure of the email data associated with your account. To exercise these rights, please contact us via our email or contact page, and we will manually remove your data from our authentication console within a reasonable timeframe.
7. International Transfers
Our service providers may process data outside Canada. Those locations may have different privacy laws. We use contractual and technical safeguards where appropriate.
8. Children's Privacy
Playora is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us.
